KNOT CONFERENCE

The Knot Conference was designed to empower attendees to create change by revealing the connection between design and community.

The Knot Conference, held on April 27, 2024 from 8 AM to 4:30 PM at Chiquola Studios in Downtown Anderson, SC, was an innovative design event hosted by the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University. Designed by the Class of 2025 graphic design cohort, the conference featured six speakers, three workshops, and six panelists, all aimed at empowering attendees to create change by revealing the connection between design and community. This event provided a day of inspiration, collaboration, and hands-on learning in a charming vintage hotel setting.

The conference's mission was to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools to foster positive community change through design. By exploring design thinking and community-oriented change, participants learned to integrate these principles into a cohesive strategy for impactful societal transformation. This first annual Knot Conference, planned and designed in just 45 days, showcased the power of design to drive community transformation and set a high standard for future events.
